A closer look
Make the grind part of the ritual. Set the dial, add roasted coffee beans, and turn the handle at a steady pace. Grounds collect in the catch cup, ready to tip into your brewer.
A numbered external dial lets you adjust without opening the catch cup. Record your setting alongside your beans, dose, and recipe so you have a useful starting point for tomorrow.
Fine settings are intended for espresso, with coarser settings for pour-over. Espresso results depend on your roast, basket, and machine; compatibility with every setup is not guaranteed. Dial numbers are relative references, not a universal recipe.
1 hand grinder with crank handle and catch cup. The burrs are part of the grinder; the separate burr view in the photographs shows the mechanism, not a spare set.
Start with your brewer’s recipe. Note the dial setting, dose, and brew time so you can make a small, informed adjustment next time.
For roasted coffee beans and manual use. Fine settings are intended for espresso; the right setting depends on your beans, basket, and recipe. Use the hand crank only. Do not use an electric drill, or grind spices, nuts, or unroasted beans. Never force the handle through a jam.
We do not specify a dose capacity, burr diameter, or micron-per-click chart. Grind settings are relative starting points; adjust for your own coffee and brewer.
Empty the catch cup and brush away loose grounds after use. Keep the burrs and adjustment mechanism dry. Wipe the exterior with a barely damp cloth, then dry it. Do not rinse, soak, or put the grinder in a dishwasher. Follow the supplied manual before disassembly.
Let the grinder dry fully before packing. Stop if the handle jams; use the supplied manual for inspection and disassembly.

Make the setting yours
The external dial keeps adjustment accessible. Find a setting you enjoy, note it with your recipe, and adjust as the beans change.

Different methods ask different things of your grind. Start with your brewer’s recipe and adjust by taste.
Read the brewing guide| Starting point | Pour-over | Espresso |

| Water flow | Gravity through a filter | Pressure through a basket |
| Hand effort | Generally lighter | Usually more turns |
| Adjust for | Taste and drawdown | Taste and shot flow |
Relative guidance; no universal dial numbers or guaranteed shot times.
Fine settings are intended for espresso; pour-over generally calls for a coarser grind. Your beans, basket, and machine determine the setting and whether you can dial in a particular recipe. We do not promise compatibility with every espresso setup. Fine grinding also tends to take more turns and effort.
The numbered dial sits outside the grinder, so you can adjust without opening the catch cup. Note your setting when a brew tastes good, together with your beans and recipe. Dial numbers are relative starting points for this grinder, not universal recipes or a calibrated particle-size chart. Never force the dial past its stop.
Obsidian Black is the purchasable finish. Grey and gold finishes in reference photography are not selectable products. Grinder and accessory images are product photographs.
Keep the burrs and adjustment mechanism dry. Empty the catch cup and use a clean, dry brush on loose grounds. Wipe the exterior with a barely damp cloth, then dry it immediately. Do not rinse, soak, immerse, or put the grinder in a dishwasher. Only wash a removable part if the supplied manual expressly allows it.
