Care & cleaning
A clean grinder. A fresh start.
A small brush, a dry cup, and a minute of care between brews. Leave the burrs out of the sink.
After each brew
Empty the catch cup. Use a clean, dry brush to sweep loose grounds from the cup, rim, and accessible surfaces. Keep your fingers and the brush out of the burr path while turning the handle.
A few gentle taps can release loose grounds. Avoid striking the grinder against a counter or forcing tools into narrow gaps.
Keep water away from the burrs
Stainless steel can still corrode, and trapped moisture can affect the bearings and adjustment mechanism. Do not rinse or soak the assembled grinder, and never put it in a dishwasher.
For exterior marks, use a barely damp cloth and dry the surface immediately. Only wash a removable component if the supplied manual expressly allows it; dry it completely before reassembly.
Brush the grounds away. Keep the mechanism dry.
Before a deeper clean
Follow the supplied manual before taking the grinder apart. Note your setting and keep any small parts in order. Burr alignment and the adjustment reference may change after reassembly.
For routine cleaning, brush accessible surfaces with the grinder empty and still. Do not add oil, solvents, or rice as a cleaning method. If the handle jams, stop and inspect according to the manual.
Store it ready for tomorrow
Put the grinder away empty and fully dry, away from steam or a damp sink. Use a clean, dry brush for loose grounds if you have one; keep brushes dry between uses.
Dial numbers are relative starting points. Keep a record of your beans, dose, setting, and taste to make the next adjustment easier.
